About the role

As an Assistant Bar Manager in ÅBEN, you will be at the heart of the daily operations, spending most of your time behind the bar, serving freshly brewed beer straight from the tanks, made just meters away under the same roof in Copenhagen’s iconic Meatpacking District, Kødbyen. You will also take on:

  • Administrative tasks that will help you gain valuable insights into purchasing and how the bar runs smoothly

  • Onboarding new team members

  • Spend the majority of your time in the bar - mostly during our busiest and most fun days from Thursday to Saturday

  • Collaborating closely with fellow Assistant Bar Managers and the General Manager to keep things running

You will be part of a team of +30 colleagues who look out for each other, keep the vibe positive - even when it’s busy - and make sure to have fun while getting the job done.

This is a full-time position based in our Kødbyen bar. The role is open for the right person to step in as soon as possible.

About you

You have experience from a service or hospitality role; however, prior experience with or knowledge of beer is not required. Additionally, it is expected that you:

  • Enjoy working in a setting where every day is different

  • Value exceptional service and create a welcoming atmosphere

  • Are curious and open to learning about the world of beer

  • Can balance being in the bar with helping the team stay aligned
